Spent some time staring at my navel today. Man, those things look weird, weirder than ears.

Peter Jackson's King Kong is perhaps the best-made movie I've seen this year. I literally spent the first half-hour of the film marvelling at how well-lit and shot it was. The CG imagery was likewise excellent — 1930's New York looked just like I remember it.
